How does your free measure and quote service work?

Simply contact us to arrange a convenient appointment time. Our consultant visits your home with product samples and professional measuring tools. We'll assess your windows, discuss your needs for privacy, light control, and style, then provide a detailed written quote with no obligation to purchase. The entire consultation typically takes 45-60 minutes.

What areas do you service?

Western Bay Blinds services Tauranga,  Katikati, Waihi Beach, Athenree, Waihi, Paeroa, Whangamata, and surrounding Bay of Plenty areas. We're a mobile service, so we come to you rather than requiring showroom visits.

What types of blinds and curtains do you offer?

We supply and install a complete range including roller blinds (sunscreen, light-filtering, blockout), venetian blinds (wood and faux wood), honeycomb blinds, vertical blinds, allusion blinds, roman blinds, custom curtains, and premium shutters. All products are custom-made to fit your specific windows perfectly.

Can I see samples before ordering?

Absolutely! During your free in-home consultation, we bring a comprehensive range of fabric and material samples so you can see exactly how they'll look in your space and natural lighting conditions.

How long does it take from order to installation?

Custom manufacturing typically takes 3-4 weeks from when you place your order, shutters take about 8 weeks. During busy periods (October-December), this may extend slightly. We'll provide accurate timeframes during your consultation and keep you updated throughout the process.

Do you offer motorised blinds?

Yes! We offer motorised roller blinds with both rechargeable battery and mains power options (New Builds). These can be operated by remote control or integrated with smart home systems.

What's included in your installation service?

Every quote includes professional installation by experienced technicians. We handle precise mounting, ensure smooth operation, and complete final adjustments. All necessary hardware and brackets are included. Installation typically takes 30-60 minutes per blind, depending on complexity.

How do I know which blinds are best for my room?

During your consultation, we'll discuss each room's specific needs. For example, we recommend faux wood blinds for bathrooms (moisture-resistant), honeycomb blinds for energy efficiency, blockout options for bedrooms, and light-filtering styles for living areas. Do you provide warranties on your products?

Absolutely! For bedrooms or media rooms, we recommend blockout roller blinds, or blackout curtains with silicon linings. Honeycomb blinds also provide excellent light control depending on the fabric choice. We'll assess your windows and recommend the best solution for maximum darkness.

What's the difference between inside mount and outside mount installation?

Inside mount blinds fit within your window frame for a clean, built-in look. Outside mount blinds are installed on the wall above the window, making windows appear larger and providing better light control. We'll recommend the best option based on your window depth and style preferences.

How do I clean and maintain my blinds and curtains?

Maintenance varies by product type. Venetian blinds can be wiped clean, roller blinds may be vacuumed or spot cleaned, and curtains can often be machine washed (depending on fabric). We provide specific care instructions with every installation.

Do you remove old blinds or curtains?

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash, and bank transfers. Payment is typically required as a deposit when placing your order, with the balance due upon completion of installation.

Yes, we provide free measure and quote services for both residential and commercial properties. We have experience with offices, retail spaces, and other commercial applications throughout our service areas.

What happens if I'm not happy with the finished result?
